This website contains information about events within the church, but we also try to share information about the larger Methodist community and the network of external organizations and non-profits that share in or contribute to our mission.
So what is our mission?
As a United Methodist church, our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.
Making disciples means more than getting people to agree to come to church on Sunday morning. It means:
- Proclaiming the gospel
- Leading people to commit their lives to God
- Nurturing people in Christian living
- Sending people out into the world as God’s servants to heal, care for others, fight oppression, embody compassion and caring and bring about a society consistent with the gospel
Discipleship is one visible example of the transformation of the world. An example of God’s grace working on us and through us. Come join us in our mission. Come join us in growing closer to God. Come join us in showing everyone we meet that God loves us all.
